I'm the kind of person that tosses and turns for qu8ite a while before actually falling asleep, is that normal? How long should it take you to fall asleep?

There are some lucky people that literally fall asleep as soon as they go to bed, unfortunately, I'm not one of those. But, is there an average time it takes people to fall asleep?

It can be hard to actually know the time it takes you to fall asleep because you just can't check the time once you're sleeping. Nevertheless, you might have an idea. 

The truth is that everyone is different, but most people take anywhere between five and 20 minutes to fall asleep. If you don't fall asleep in 20 minutes, it is not a synonym that you are not actually resting, as long as it is not normal for you to stay awake for more than an hour on regular basis before going to bed, should be OK.

Always make sure to keep your electronics far from your room, meditate or do any activity that can help you unwind and reduce anxiety before sleeping.

I found sound baths work great for me, I get to listen for a couple of minutes relax, and eventually, fall asleep.
