Eating meat, especially red meat, takes a big toll o the environment. Did you know that beef production releases up to 105 kilograms of gases per 100 grams of protein? This is by far the worst polluter among all the other protein sources. Make an effort to reduce your consumption of meat.
Using the dryer for everything
As if the washing machine didn't use enough energy, the dryer uses three times as much. Try air drying your clothes, you'll be saving money and energy at the same time.
Using traditional deodorants
Traditional deodorants, especially sprays, are the worst when it comes to air pollution. Sprays contribute to the greenhouse effect, and stick deodorants come in unrecyclable contained – personal care products are a third of all single-use plastic. Create your own deodorant to reduce waste.
Buying any single-use product
Water bottles, cosmetics, cotton pads, sanitary pads,q-tips and other products wrapped in plastic should be avoided whenever possible. Instead, use the menstrual cup, cloth napkins, reusable q-tips and makeup remover pads.
Ok, while it is difficult not to flush the toilet every time you go, you can certainly skip a flush or two to reduce the amount of water that goes to waste.
