What is coconut flour?
Coconut flour is essentially dried coconut in powder, it is gluten-free and you can use the leftovers to make vegetable milk. It is low-carb and very high in fiber.
It also helps lower the glycemic index and it will make you feel fuller for longer.
How to make homemade coconut flour
- 2 cups of coconut pulp (it's the leftover from making coconut milk)
- Heat your oven to 120°F
- In a baking sheet lined with parchment paper spread the coconut pulp and bake for 45 minutes, it has to be completely dried.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool-
- Blend the pulp with a food processor until you get a fine powder, and that's it! you can use it as a regular flour substitute!
