Watermelon is a fruit that comes from the same family as the cucumber, squash and pumpkin. It is fresh and super juicy and it contains around 90% water.
Because of its high percentage of water, watermelon helps you stay hydrated, it is also rich in lycopene, a pigment that helps reduce the risk o diabetes and cancer as well. It is also packed with antioxidants that can prevent muscle soreness and help you fight free-radical damage and as it is super sweet, you won't need to add any sugar to it.
Just cut the watermelon into cubes and pour it along some ice cubes ina a high-speed blender, you can garnish with some mint leaves or any other fruit you like, I sometimes like to add some blueberries or strawberries to the mix. But plain watermelon is perfect!
