Ok, let’s face it, doing yoga at home can be challenging, especially if you don’t live alone. But, if you can make some arrangements, you can definitely profit from a great yoga class!
The pandemic has made us rethink our whole routine: we’ve changed our yoga studio and gym for our living room. And building a yoga studio at home can be costly, but, the good news is that you can actually turn your home into a studio without spending too much.
5 On-budget tips to create a yoga studio at home
1. Create a yoga space
You don’t need much space! you can actually create a yoga space anywhere where a mat would fit –commit yourself that anything out of the mat fades into the background when you are doing yoga.
2. Use headphones
Earbuds or headphones are great to seárate yourself from what’s happening besides your yoga lesson.
3. Create the proper atmosphere
Now that you are wrapped up in the sound of your class –or music–, closes your eyes or dim the lights, and use some scents to calm your nervous system.
4. Create your props
Household items can make excellent yoga props. A towel can become a blanket, a cushion a bolster, a hand towel an eye pillow and a scarf a strap. And some even use toilet paper rolls to support you back!
5. Make your own rope wall
If you are willing to spend some money, you can install your own rope wall. But you could also re-create the lower ropes with a long strap or resistance bands tied to the door handle side to which the door opens, shut the door and voila!
