I love self-tan, mainly because I don't like being exposed to sunlight, but I do enjoy sun-kissed skin, no matter the season, I actually use it all year round. I have personally developed a technique to apply the fake tan properly, but it took me a lot of fails and I do sometimes skin a step and end up a tiny bit stained, this is why these tips come in handy!

In short, there are two ways to get rid of sunless tanning gone wrong:

1 Exfoliation

These products only color the surface layer of your skin, which means that if you shed some dead skin cells, your mistakes will fade quicker. You could try using a body scrub, brushing, or chemical exfoliation. There actually products created to get rid of self-tanning, which are very effective.

2 DIY

You can also use depilatory cream to get rid of a stubborn stain—like a dark spot on your palm or really dark heels—that needs to be removed. Just apply the cream and let it sit for half the recommended time and use a damp cloth to remove the cream from the skin. Make sure to moisturize after to avoid irritation and redness.
