You don't need to have a cold shower, relax, but you could try lowering a notch the temperature of your regular showers, and once you've finished washing your hair, and applying a generous amount of conditioner rinse it with cold water. You can also limit the time your hair is exposed to water, especially if you are not down to lowering the temperature. Try using a cap when you are not washing your hair and limit the number of times you wash your hair a week.
Make sure you choose products that are the right ones for your hair type, if you have natural curls, you can try the curly method, and if nd if it is straight you can try applying some natural oils to fight hair static.
