Ok, you've just popped a pimple and you don't know what to do to make it heal, here are the keys to making it heal sooner.
Well, first things first, you should never pop a pimple and that is a fact that you might have known since you got your first pimple. Picking at your skin increases the risk of further infecting the area and causes more pimples to appear, more irritation, and more swelling. That being said, we all surrender to the temptation of poping that annoying cyst in the middle of our nose or chin, what do we do about it?
Step 1: Cleanse the area
When you've torn the skin the area is more likely to get infected by bacteria. As your skin will be more sensitive, try using a mild cleanser such as micellar water and rinse without touching it with your hands. This will minimize the risk of further infection.
Step 2: Treat
Now that the area is clean, apply a spot treatment. You could try applying salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide which are both powerful acne-fighting compounds and they can be found in a wide variety of skincare products.
Step 3: Do nothing at all
After applying a spot treatment you must moisturize even if your skin is acne-prone and try to leave the area alone, don't touch, pick or rub with any other thing the pimple if you want it to heal fast.
