If you are looking for some TLC for your whole body but you don't have her products, you can totally DIY it with products you already have at home.
How to DIY Gwyneth Paltrow's at-home spa routine
Step 1: Dry brushing
Gwyneth starts her routine by dry brushing. You don't need to use Goop's dry brush, you can totally use any dry brush you have at home. She recommends:
I brush toward the heart to encourage blood flow. It’s tingling and invigorating—and it’s an amazing exfoliator. It just wakes me up.
Step 2: Hair treatment
As Gwyneth has color-teated hair, she uses a pre-shampoo treatment. She recommends using GOOPGLOW Restore + Shine Hair Serum, but you can use sweet almond oil or coconut oil before and leave it for 20 minutes before going on to wash your hair.
Step 3: Bath soak
Goop's bath soak features Himalayan salts and frankincense, myrrh, and vetiver essential oils. To DIY a bath soak, you can definitely mix 3 tablespoons of Himalayan salt and essential oils of your choice.
Step 4: Shampoo
Goop's Himalayan salt scrub shampoo is great to exfoliate your scalp and remove product built-up. Mix a teaspoon of Himalayan salt with a tablespoon of your favorite shampoo to recreate Gwyneth's scalp scrub. According to Gwyneth, the result is:
a nice, fresh feeling. It leaves my hair soft, shiny, bouncy, and full, every time."
Step 5: Body butter
After you've had a bath and exfoliated your skin, Gwyneth recommends massaging Goop's body butter onto your skin for an “incredible glow.” Wondering what you could use instead? Shea butter works well or you can try any of our body butter DIY recipes.
Now there is no excuse for practicing a bit of self-care and body care!
