2 Steps to determine your eye shape

Determining your eye shape is not as easy as it seems. These two steps will help you.

The fun thing about makeup is that you can create a different character every day – just a bit of micellar water, and you can do it all over again. There are virtually no rules when we think of makeup. That being said, you can create some looks that are more flattering by matching your facial structure.

2 Steps to determine your eye shape

If you want to level up your eye makeup it is key to know your eye shape. There are mainly six common eye shapes: monoids, hooded eyes, round eyes, almond eyes, downturned eyes, and upturned eyes.

Step 1

Determine whether you have an eyelid crease. If you can't see it, you have monolid eyes and you don't need to follow the second step.

If you can see a crease but it covers the majority of the lid, then you have hooded eyes

Step 2

If you can see a crease on your lid, see if the corners are pulling up above the line or down.

If you can see a crease on your lid, see if the corners are pulling up above the line or down. This is how to determine if you have downturned eyes or upturned eyes.

If the outer corners don't pull either way, but you can see the whiles of your eyes above or below your yes, then this is a round eye. And if you can't see any white space between the lids and the tires, then you have almond eyes.

Now that you know what your eye shape is, you can create looks according to their shape!
